How to Use the Letter Templates Process in Sure Will Writer

If you’re looking to understand and utilise the Letter Templates process in Sure Will Writer, this guide is for you. It provides comprehensive instructions on how to create and categorise templates.

Prerequisites #

  • Ensure you are logged into Sure Will Writer.

Step-by-Step Instructions #

  • Navigate to Company Settings
    • Click on your name, which is located at the top right-hand corner of your screen, and select ‘company settings’ from the dropdown menu.
  • Access the ‘Letter Templates’ Tab
    • Once in company settings, find and click on the ‘Letter Templates’ tab from the column on the left-hand side.
  • Create a New Template
    • Click the button labelled ‘Create New Template.’ This will allow you to upload new templates either as Word documents or directly as text.
  • Select the Correct Category
    • When uploading or creating a new template, make sure to select the correct category for the document. Below are brief explanations for each category:
      • Single Client: Enables the system to fill out the letter with either of your clients’ details. The letter will be displayed under the ‘Letter Template’ tab within a case.
      • Case: The system will fill out the letter using Client 1’s details. The letter will be displayed under the ‘Letter Template’ tab within a case.
      • Address Book Entry: The system fills out the letter with details from anyone in the address book, ideal for letters to executors. The letter will appear under the ‘Letter Template’ tab within a case.
      • Questionnaire: The system will populate the letter with Client 1’s details and display it within a questionnaire. This is ideal for further explanatory notes for any given document.
    • View and Use the Templates
      • Once the templates are created, the system will customise them based on the details of the case. You can either download them onto your computer or view them in your browser. From there, you have the option to print or email them to your clients.
