Introduction #
Hello there! If you’re looking to distribute a property gift into specific shares in Sure Will Writer, this guide is for you. This feature allows you to have full control over how each percentage of a property gift is distributed among multiple parties.
Prerequisites #
- Make sure you’re logged into your Sure Will Writer account.
- Have a property gift you would like to sub-divide into shares.
Step-by-Step Instructions #
- Create the Gift
- Begin by creating the gift and selecting the gift distribution to be: ‘sub-divide in shares’.
- Add the First Percentage
- Click on ‘Add a new percentage’, then fill out the box with the initial percentage you wish to allocate.
- Specify the Recipient for the First Percentage
- Click on ‘Add a new Gift Distribution’ and choose to whom this percentage of the gift should go to. Fill out the subsequent boxes as applicable.
- Update and Save
- Once done, click the ‘Update’ button that appears first.
- Add More Percentages
- Click on ‘Add a new percentage’ and repeat steps 2 and 3 for any additional percentages you wish to allocate.
- Final Update and Save
- Make sure you’ve clicked ‘Update’ for each panel. Finally, click ‘Save’ to finalise your settings.
Note: Ensure that the sum of all percentages equates to 100% to fully allocate the property gift.
