Hello there! Should you wish to set up a Life Interest Trust within Sure Will Writer, this guide is here to walk you through the process step by step.
Prerequisites #
- Make sure you’re logged into your Sure Will Writer account.
- Have the relevant case open where you intend to create a Life Interest Trust.
Step-by-Step Instructions #
- Navigate to ‘Estate Administration / Residue’ Tab
- Within the questionnaire, go to the ‘Estate Administration / Residue’ tab. Answer ‘as shares’ to the distribution question and then click the ‘Add Residual Gift’ button in the panel that follows.
- Set the Percentage for the Life Interest Trust
- Enter the percentage you wish to allocate to the Life Interest Trust.
- Add a New Gift Distribution
- Click on the ‘Add a New Gift Distribution’ button and choose ‘Life Interest Trust’ from the list of options that appear.
- Add a New Recipient
- To complete the Life Interest Trust setup, click on the ‘Add a New Recipient’ button and follow the subsequent instructions in the pop-up menu.
